Dean, Graduate School of Education

Fordham University invites applications, nominations, and inquiries for the position of dean of the Graduate School of Education (GSE). The incoming dean will have the opportunity to advance GSE's mission, strengthen its commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service, and elevate its impact and national prominence.
Located on Fordham's Lincoln Center campus, GSE is rooted in Fordham's Jesuit tradition and is deeply in the service of and tied to the City of New York. The School plays a vital role in preparing educators, counselors, psychologists, school clergy, school administrators, and other practitioners and scholars to serve diverse populations. The incoming dean will step into a uniquely opportune moment to help shape a unified vision, advance a shared sense of purpose, guide the newly integrated Graduate School of Religion into GSE, and guide the School toward greater distinction in teaching, research, and service.
Joining a highly collaborative University-wide team of deans, the incoming leader will play a pivotal role in enhancing the School's academic and operational success. They will be charged with leveraging GSE's many strengths, cultivating internal and external partnerships, and developing new revenue streams to ensure long-term sustainability and to anticipate and navigate evolving socio-political challenges and opportunities with foresight, adaptability, and strength.
Ideal candidates will bring an outstanding record of scholarly and educational achievement; successful administrative experience; a commitment to the University's Jesuit mission; demonstrated impact in access, inclusion, equity, and diversity; a history of advancing teaching excellence, scholarship, and service; strong fundraising and external engagement skills; and the ability to foster community and build strategic partnerships. Candidates must have an academic record that merits appointment as a tenured faculty member at the rank of full professor at Fordham.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $300,000 to $335,000, depending upon experience.
